You're in luck! Pretty well anywhere you go will be interesting and scenic.
1. Long Beach
2. Tofino and Ucluelet
3. Victoria Inner Harbor
4. Mount Washington (it's a ski hill but even in the summer it's beautiful)
5. Coombs - there's a store there (Old Country Market) that has goats residing on the roof in the summer. Lots of knick knacks, brick-a-brack, fresh fruits and vegetables, a great bakery
6. Take a drive up the coast from Victoria to Campbell River (or even as far as Port Hardy - it's at the very top tip of the island). Stop in Qualicum, Parksville, Courtenay.
7. Drive west to Long Beach, make sure to stop in Cathedral Grove (an old-growth forest that is protected from logging); then Port Alberni (my home-town) and make sure to go down to Harbor Quay
8. Take a drive around Departure Bay in Nanaimo - there are some beautiful homes in the hills there
9. I hear Della Falls is something else - if you can get to it... I have personally never seen it.
10. Anywhere you go, you will encounter mountains, rivers, lakes, streams, beaches (on the west coast), forests...
It's been a few years since I've been home now, I'm sure there are things that have changed a lot (I know the goats are still on the roof though).
