I will be traveling to Vancouver in May and I have heard it is wonderful. I will be there for 3 days, (one in Vancouver, one in Whistler, and one on Vancouver Island). Obviously, my time is quite limited there. So, what are some spectacular "can't miss" sights there in Vancouver. Any suggestions?

I would skip Vancouver and spend more time on the island but then when I vacation I like to see nature (shopping and tall buildings are about the same there as there are where I live).

Where are you going on the island? (it has lots of different cities and things to see)

Explore the best of Victoria, Vancouver Island, the Gulf Islands and the Sunshine Coast of BC, including Sooke, Nanaimo, Campbell River, Port Hardy. Tofino, Comox Valley, Pacific Rim, Saltspring Island and Quadra Island.

Tofino is a fav.

As cities go Victoria is beautiful and a great place to wander around; check out the ocean, shopping, legislative grounds, etc.

Stanley Park, Vancouver's first park, is an evergreen oasis of 400 hectares (1,000 acres) close to the heart of Vancouver's downtown core. Its natural west coast atmosphere offering a back drop of majestic cedar, hemlock and fir trees embraces visitors and transports them to an environment rich in tranquility.

Depends exactly what you are looking for Robson street and Metro town are a must for shoppers. The local hills are gorgeous (well Cypress is not the rest). If time allows a visit to Whistler. If you are at the other spectrum check out wreck beach if you feel brave and adventurous. Finnaly the tip of the iceberg is Tofino on Vancouver Island. The ocean, the endless sandy beaches, the sun the rainstorms and the hospitality is like nowhere in the world.

With its pile backdrop and downtown beaches, Vancouver gets the rightly acquired reputation of being one of the most lovely cities on the planet, with hotelbye you could have the opportunity to see this particular city. One of many areas you need to see in Vancouver may be the Downtown Vancouver. Downtown Vancouver is brilliantly found on a peninsula in the Strait of Georgia bounded to the south by the delta of the Fraser River and to the north by way of a serious fiord reaching far inland. Here you can also see the often snow-covered stages of the Coast Mountains. Stanley Park is one of the very visited parks. Is just a rich Peninsula Park of enormous trees adjoining to Downtown Vancouver. A paved seawall way encircles the green space, and most readers take the time to investigate on base or by bicycle. Inland, the park presents several things to accomplish, and visitors can spend a full time exploring attractions which range from the totem poles at Brockton Point to the west coast sea living at the Vancouver Aquarium. Spectacular opinions certainly are a common through the park.

granville island public market...stanley park...the stanley park seawall....all of this if you want to get a real taste of Vancouver...the drive to whistler is beautiful in itself....Vancouver island is much quieter and has smaller cities and towns.....If you want vibrant life...try the west end near stanley park..or yaletown...they're much mored upscale. Welcome in advance..enjoy your stay here.
