through fact the guy above published, the YWCA is the ultimate bang on your dollar! I survive Vancouver Island and are available to the city frequently for stay shows. considering i got here across the YWCA i haven't booked lodging everywhere else. they're precise downtown and the fee is right.

first stay out of downtown east side....but New Westminster, parts of Burnaby and Surrey (King George corridor).....you can "download" googleearth and it will give you and idea of the area and properties...or you can check out tourism Vancouver. good luck!
